Calvert Cliffs NPP
Duration: 3 months
Rigs: 2 CME 75, CME 550X, Diedrich 50 Track
Scope: Over 100 borings ranging in depths from 30’-250’ drilling with mud rotary
methods, also included barge drilling in the Chesapeake Bay.

Dominion Cove Point LNG Pier

Duration: 4 weeks
Rig: CME 550X
Scope: 8 borings drilled to 125’ below mudline on the Chesapeake Bay. Borings were completed around the existing Dominion Liquid Natural Gas Pier in 44’ of water.

MD 200 Inter-County Connector

Duration: 3 years
Rigs: Multiple Track, ATV, and Truck Rigs
Scope: Over 500 soil borings, monitoring wells, and rock cores completed for new highway through Montgomery County, Maryland. Work was completed on Contracts A and B.

Fort Meade DISA

Duration: 4 weeks
Rig: ATV CME 75
Scope: 65 borings were drilled using hollow-stem auger and mud rotary methods for new military housing.

Fort Detrick Sterilization Plant

Duration: 4 weeks
Rig: Diedrich 50 Track
Scope: 31 pier locations were cored and grouted for rock evaluation.
Cheverly WMATA
Duration: 5 weeks
Rigs: Diedrich 50 Track
Scope: 12 borings were drilled to depths ranging from 40’-140’ through high plasticity clays to evaluate slope failure that was impacting a metro rail. Multiple undisturbed samples were taken and inclinometers were installed.

EXXON-MOBIL

Duration: 2.5 months
Rigs: CME 55, CME 75, CME 55LC, CME 550X, Geoprobe 7720, Air Knife
Scope: 51 sites drilled in Prince Georges County, Maryland and Washington, DC. Each site consisted of installing between 3 and 8-4” monitoring wells for environmental assessment. Work was to be completed within 3 months.

AMTRAK NE Corridor

Duration: 2 weeks
Rig: ATV CME 75
Scope: Installed 7 inclinometers to depths of 60’ in difficult heaving sand formation.
Dominion Power at Cove Point - Lusby, Maryland
Duration: 5 weeks
Rig: CME 550X, CME 55
Scope: 2-300', 11-250', 3-200', 4-150', 2-100' geotechnical borings using mud rotary methods, undisturbed soil samples, all borings grouted at completion
National Harbor - Fort Washington, Maryland
Duration: 4 weeks
Rigs: CME 550X, Diedrich D-50
Scope: 100 geotechnical borings drilled ranging in depths from 65'-90' through unconsolidated and consolidated formations
Indian Head NSWC Water Towers - Indian Head, Maryland
Duration: 1 week
Rig: CME 75
Scope: 3-100' geotechnical borings were completed with continuous sampling, 3" Shelby tubes and pressure meter testing in each boring using mud rotary methods
Fort Detrick - Frederick, Maryland
Duration: 4 weeks
Rigs: CME 45C, CME 75
Scope: 93 locations augered to bedrock, each boring cored a minimum or 3 meters into competent rock, the investigation was for new housing at the base and was completed in conjunction with the Army Corps of Engineers
